We’ve made 2 visits to the Bullock in the last year, and all I can think of is one word: forgettable. We attended both times on homeschool day. The museum really puts in some effort, offering classes and discounted IMAX movies, but the program falls flat.
I recommend only going to the Bullock once, on the first Free Sunday of the month or on homeschool day, because it’s not worth the admission price. Seeing the La Belle and a few of the exhibits are worth taking a half day to stop by though.
This year, the highlight for the kids and their friends was the ballroom exhibit upstairs. It could have easily have been missed – and I wish we had spent more time up there. Their favorite was a craters demo that just happens to be part of 5th grade Texas state science curriculum.
